Youth Ministry

In our youth ministry at Metropolitan Baptist Church, we desire to grow together as we learn to recognize and honor Jesus Christ first and foremost in our relationships and circumstances. Check out our calendar for events!

 

• SNAC (Sunday Night After Church) - These sessions are conducted on Sunday evenings, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We meet in various homes, at church or outside venues, to enjoy food, fun, and fellowship. 
• Sunday School for Middle and High Schoolers - These classes are conducted on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9:45 AM. 
• AWANA - Wednesday evenings, 6:00 - 8:10 pm - Watch for Fall 2023 Registration Date
                          Trek  - Middle School 
                        Journey  - High School

 

                     

There are several activities that we have conducted for our youth, including  "The Great Mall Hunt,"  Bowling, Movie Nights, Reformation Celebration, Christmas Progressive Dinner, Operation Christmas Child Box Packing, Feed My Starving Children Volunteering, Super Bowl Party. . . 

Summer 2022: The Youth took a mission trip to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Kentucky, where they volunteered their time and talents. 
 

Summer 2024:  The Youth are planning an overseas missions trip to Camp Falcon Rock in Romania.
                     
They have conducted a number of fundraisers to help defray the cost of the mission trips they've taken and are planning to take:   "The Purple Cow" that visits church members' homes, and for a fee can be transported elsewhere; fundraising meals, dessert auctions, child care, Golf Fundraiser, clothing sales, offering their help with lawn care, car washes, hand-crafted greeting card sales, etc.
