About Jack Bluel

Senior Pastor

Jack grew up in St. Paul, MN., where he met his wife Tammy, while still in high school. They have five children, three girls and two boys, ages ranging from adulthood to high school.


After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, earning a BS in Pastoral Ministry and Bible. After graduation, he pastored Hope Baptist Church in Hopkins, MN.


He then attended Liberty University where he earned his Master of Arts in Religion: In Pastoral Counselling. He began his current pastoral ministry at Metropolitan Baptist Church in July of 2014.


Pastor Jack enjoys reading, hunting and fishing. Tammy and Jack home school their two younger children. They are also active in the home school speech and debate community, the NCFCA.

About Steve Burrell

Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism
Steve and LeAnn Burrell have three grown children, Janet, Jennifer, and Jessica. Steve was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Steve has a BA in Religion (North American Baptist College, Edmonton, AB) and an M Div. and MA in Christian Education (North American Baptist Seminary).

His life verse is John 4:34, “Jesus said to them, my food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.” Steve’s hobbies include golf, softball, wiffle ball, watching “Shark Tank” and spending time with his 6 grandchildren.
