Children and Youth Policy
We view ourselves as partners with parents, seeking to provide quality care and instruction in our children’s and youth ministries. Because we recognize that we are a reflection of God’s love to those in our care, we take seriously our responsibility to them. This policy is set forth to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which we can bring our children to the Savior. Everyone who teaches, helps, or cares for children under the sponsorship of Metropolitan Baptist Church must follow this policy.

Our Goals
- To introduce each child to Jesus Christ and His teaching
- To provide a safe, secure and loving environment for children
- To assure parents that their children are safe in church ministry activities
- To recruit Biblically qualified Christian men and women who love children, to serve as positive role models in children and youth ministries
We believe that every child or youth is a gift from God and as such deserves our best efforts to protect them while they are in our ministry. It is a high priority to make sure that each child is protected from the possibility of abuse.
Likewise, Metropolitan Baptist Church also desires to protect its volunteers from false allegations. Therefore, an in-depth screening process is required for every individual who desires to minister with our program(s) and has been established to ensure that the utmost protection is provided to prevent an abuse situation or accusation.
